Data collected and purposes
The site collects no data without your knowledge: the only information gathered is what you voluntarily enter in our forms.
Contact form
Company name, country, last name, first name, phone, email address, nature of your enquiry, machine concerned and message.
Purpose: to respond to your request for information, a quote or a service call.
Parts identification form
Part type, machine make and model, level of urgency, phone and email address.
Purpose: to identify the part you need and send you a proposal.
Business details (optional)
If you tick the relevant box, your email address is used to send you information about BWS products and services. This box is optional and you may withdraw your consent at any time.
Legal bases
- Pre-contractual measures (Article 6.1.b GDPR) for handling your requests for quotes, service calls or parts.
- Legitimate interest (Article 6.1.f) for managing the commercial relationship with the professionals who contact us.
- Consent (Article 6.1.a) for sending commercial information, where you have ticked the box provided.
Recipients
Your data is intended for the BWS sales and technical teams. It is never sold, rented or passed to third parties for advertising purposes.
The following also acts as a technical provider:
- Hostinger International Ltd. — site hosting (Cyprus, European Union).
- No other provider is involved in processing the forms: messages are sent directly from the site's server to the BWS mailbox, without passing through an external service.
Retention periods
- Enquiries with no commercial follow-up: 3 years from your last contact.
- Contractual relationship: for the duration of the commercial relationship, then archived for the period required by applicable legal and accounting obligations.
- Consent to commercial information: until it is withdrawn.
Protection against misuse
To prevent automated sending of unwanted messages, the form counts how many submissions come from the same device over a short period. This measure relies on a non-reversible fingerprint: the IP address itself is neither stored nor accessible.
Your rights
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, as well as the right to give instructions concerning its fate after your death.
To exercise these rights, write to support@bwsfrance.com or to the postal address above. If, after contacting us, you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
Cookies and trackers
This site does not place any advertising cookies or audience-measurement trackers. Nor does it use your browser's local storage.
Two external services are called when pages are displayed: the content delivery network jsDelivr, which supplies the site's animation library, and OpenStreetMap, which displays the map on the Contact page. Viewing them involves sending your IP address to those services, which is necessary to display the content concerned.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. BWS applies reasonable measures to protect transmitted data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
To prevent automated sending and misuse, the number of messages that can be sent from the same device is limited. This control relies on a non-reversible technical fingerprint calculated from the IP address: the address itself is neither stored nor accessible, and the fingerprint is erased automatically after a few minutes. This measure falls under the legitimate interest in protecting the service (Article 6.1.f GDPR).
